iLikeNew privacy policy

Updated October 13, 2026. This policy covers ilikenew.com and the iLikeNew VIP iPhone app and its website flows.

Information used to provide the service

When you create an account, we collect your username, email, password hash, verification status and alert preferences. A phone number is collected when you choose a feature that requires it. We use cookies and session tokens to keep you signed in, protect private conversations and prevent abuse.

Orders and auctions may include contact details, purchases, shipping or delivery addresses, pickup instructions, payment references and fulfillment, refund or dispute records. Card details are entered with Stripe; iLikeNew stores payment references and results rather than your full card number. Seller applications and orders include business details, listing photos, inventory, return policies and settlement records. Stripe collects payout and identity verification information directly during seller onboarding.

Messages, reviews, reports, uploaded photos, saved website interests and searches can contain information you choose to provide. Operational records may include request identifiers, IP addresses, device/browser information, errors and interactions needed to operate and secure the service. These records support search, customer service, stock accuracy and fraud prevention.

Public seller information and reviews

Your seller name, description, listings, consented fulfillment address, instructions and return policy appear publicly when your seller profile is approved. Pickup listings clearly identify your location. Reviews display the reviewer’s public username, rating and text after a paid order’s receipt is confirmed. Do not include private contact or payment information in public descriptions, photos or reviews.

Services that receive information

We use hosting and storage providers to run the website, Stripe for payments and seller verification, Clover for linked warehouse inventory, and shipping/delivery services for fulfillment. Email and newsletter providers receive the information needed to deliver requested messages. Eligible product, price and local stock data may be sent to Google Merchant Center to help customers discover warehouse products.

If you use the automated shopping assistant, its questions and relevant preferences are sent to OpenAI for a response. Use team chat for personal order details. Social, directions and other external links open services with their own privacy policies.

iPhone app

The native app requests the public catalog from ilikenew.com. Account, checkout, seller and help pages open the website in a visible browser sheet and follow the website practices described above. Website login is separate from the native catalog requests.

Saved finds and downloaded cover photos stay on your device and are not synchronized to an account. Clear them from More → Clear saved finds. Scanning requests camera access only when you open the scanner. Camera frames are not stored or uploaded by the app. The app does not request your location; Apple Maps handles navigation after you choose directions. Network and map services may process requests under their own policies.

Your choices and account deletion

Choose account alerts in My account, use newsletter unsubscribe links, and revoke browser notification or camera permissions in your device settings. You can delete your website account at Account privacy and deletion after confirming your password.

Account deletion removes credentials, personal account profile data, account preferences, account chats and public seller content, and revokes website sessions. Required order, payment, fulfillment, refund, fraud prevention and settlement records remain restricted for as long as needed to complete transactions, resolve claims and meet legal/accounting obligations. Photo removal may be retried if storage is temporarily unavailable; removed public content is no longer accessible through its original listing. Copies held by payment, shipping, email and other providers follow their retention policies. Separately subscribed newsletters require their unsubscribe link. Device-only saved finds must be cleared on your device.
